CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING PROJECTS

CLIENT: LEC

PROJECT: Campus Pointe Apartments

SCOPE: The project consisted of placement of suitable soils to a depth of two feet over the entire site to cover possibly contaminated soils. Due to the unsuitability of fill material placed prior to project start up by previous contractors, the entire complex rests on drilled piers. The placement of these as well as the reinforcement and concrete were all monitored and tested by our on site technician.

CLIENT: Birmingham Board of Education

PROJECT: Wenonah High School

SCOPE: This project included virtually all the departments of the company being brought to bear for the testing of this large school renovation. This multi-year project has included environmental monitoring, Geotechnical investigations and materials testing from the start to the continuing construction as of February 2007. One of the largest International Building Code (IBC) projects undertaken by Gallet & Associates, Inc. thus far, the Wenonah High School project has seen as many as four technicians on site at one time testing and observing soils placement, masonry construction and reinforced concrete placement simultaneously. Our steel technicians continue to stay busy with steel inspections. Continued construction is now focused on a new football stadium.
